Britain's Got Talent: Susan Boyle

Susan Boyle has definitely taken over the world by storm! She sang "I Dreamed a Dream" from Les Misérables in Britain's Got Talent and shocked everyone with her flawless performance.

When she appeared on stage, everyone was sceptic, judging her by her age and appearance, but when started singing, she wowed the crowd!!

Her video in YouTube was viewed by millions of people. I watched it myself for at least 3 times straight!!

"I am so thrilled because I know that everybody was against you. I honestly think that we were all being very cynical and I think that's the biggest wakeup call ever. And I just want to say that it was a complete privilege listening to that." — Amanda Holden, Britain's Got Talent

I totally agree with what Amanda said. We are just too quick too judge. I guess the world is in need of this "wake up call"... We all deserve one.

TVB Series: E.U. (Emergency Unit)

I’ve just finished watching the TVB series – E.U. yesterday night. I reckon this would be one of the best series so far for 2009. I know it’s too early to tell, but after all the 2009 TVB series I’ve watched so far, this has gotta be the one that got me hooked.

I’ve always thought that Michael Miu is a hunk! Macho, and so manly! But the character that got me (and everyone else) talking and missing is “Laughing”. He is the star that shone in this series. I don’t wanna burst the bubbles of those who have not watched this, so all I’m gonna say is he’s an undercover cop for 9 years. I couldn’t believe it in the first place because the way he portrayed his character as one of the person-in-charge of the Chun Hing society was so genuine, I really hated him at first. But as the story progress, we learned about his past and motives, and when he was killed, we started missing him.

I didn’t like the story on Ron Ng and Samuel Chan’s part. For Ron, there wasn’t much story about him being undercover and how he raised to the top, or how he got closed to Michael Miu. For Samuel Chan, he and his never-ending beliefs is a pain.

Anyways, I would say this series is worth a watch. I heard that they are shooting another ending for this series, where Launghing is alive (YAY!).
Rating: 8/10

Home cooked dinner 05.04.09

As I wasn’t feeling well over the weekend, we have to cancel our initial plan (Ole-Ole Bali) and settled with home cooked food. I need food without the massive amount of MSG in the food as it will just worsen the condition of my throat. So we went grocery shopping in Carrefour MV.

Vincent cooked his ever-famous Ginger Chicken for me, and it tasted as delicious as ever. I am so in love with his Ginger Chicken. It is one of the best I’ve tasted!
We also had Steamed Choy Sum with Oyster Sauce. No fry stuff until the throat gets better.

Take a look at the photos of our home cooked dinner. Delicious eh?

Zen Residence

We have just recently signed the S&P for our 2nd home, Zen Residence in Puchong. The main reason for the purchase of this condo is to prepare for our baby.

The studio unit in Pertama Residency is for us to enjoy our married life, but it is definitely not sufficient and adequate to expand our family. Thus, we have decided to get this place

Below are the details of Zen:

Property Type: Condominium
Land Title: Residential
Tenure: Leasehold
Land Area: 4.08
Built Up: 1,178 - 2,551 sq. ft.
Listing Price: From RM272,900 - RM750,000

Facilities:

# Floating 2-storey clubhouse Zen-inspired hot springs for male and female
# Glass gymnasium
# 2 squash courts
# Zen cafe
# Laundrette
# Games room

Recreational park
# Zen-inspired pool
# Wading pool
# Boardwalk with gazebo
# Sun deck
# Picnic/ BBQ area
# Children's playground

Scented garden
# Flowering/ Scenting shrubs
# Open lawn

Zen garden
# Boulders
# Walking path
# Rock garden

Healing garden
# Bamboo grove
# Gazebo
# Japanese tea area
# Reflexology path

I have to say, the location is unquestionably not my favorite. I find it rather far actually. But somehow, we have finally decided to go ahead with this condo unit based on these few reasons:

• Concept of the condo – The thing we love most is the lanai. I don’t consider it a balcony because this is way larger than a balcony. I’ve always had this visualization that family bonding should be done in an area like this, not in the living hall in front of the TV. I imagine us sitting in the lanai with our child, and us talking and chatting about our day, with cookies and tea.
• The huge garden concept – Healthy living is a must. After dinner, we can take a stroll in the park.
• Security – The multi-tier security is another vital point. With the increase in robbery and theft, Vincent is very worried with the security. To him, our safety is his top priority.
• Offer package – The developer has given about RM30K discount (which is deducted from the down payment). Another advantage is that we do not have to pay progressive interest. Our condo unit also comes with a free kitchen cabinet, and 4 units of air-cond.
• Time period – This place will be ready in 3 years, which gives us just enough time to enjoy our life and for our new baby.

We took a while to decide if this place is worth the investment as the main reason holding us back is the location, but after checking out other developments, we have decided that this is the place we want our baby to grow up in. I want everything to be perfect for my lil baby

Pertama Residency

We bought this place in July 2007, and the construction begun in December 2007. It has been almost 1.5 years since, and we are glad that it has made an impressive progress! I called the developer recently, and was informed that they will hand over the keys before October 2009. If that is on schedule, we should be able to have the housewarming party before Xmas 2009!

Finally, a place of our own. The initial logic of buying this place was to accommodate my needs. I refuse to be married without a place of our own lol. And I insist that it must be a newly developed project. As we wanna get married before he's 30, PR was the ideal choice. It will be ready by 2009, and we will have enough time to enjoy our married life before thinking of adding Foo junior

Details of PR as listed below:

Property ID : 12
Property Name : Pertama Residency
Listing Type : For Sales -New
Property Type : Serviced Residence

Location : Jalan Cheras
Postal Code : 56100
Built-Up : 610 sq.ft
Land Area : -

I really can't can't can't wait for it to be ready to move in. I can so see myself lazing on the sofa, baking cakes and cookies, a couch for me to read, a jacuzzi and PS3!

Professional??

Check out these 2 pictures. Vincent was experimenting with the new image editor program, and is very thrilled and satisfied with his "art" that he requested me to post it here.

Well, I reckon these are very professionally done, and I'm giving him thumbs up! Your opinion?
