The birthday of Queen of Bitches - Karma Bitch

Last Friday was the Karma Bitch aka Karyn Nair's birthday. I have known that woman for 3 years now... Influence by her daily "tiu!", "good question", etc characteristics, it is hard to deny her presence in my life!

Initial plan was to have dinner plans at Chinoz, and continue with clubbing at Velvet. BUT, most of us can't make it to Velvet, so we postpone the plan.

The birthday gift we got her was the Topshop voucher. It covers Dorothy Perkins and Diva, amongst others. We try to find out what she wants, but being a stubborn smart ass, she refused to give any hint at all... So we got her this gift. The idea behind was that she can get the accessories that she really want from Diva instead of us buying something she doesn't need.

Rock Chic was being creative (yeah rite!) and tried her hands on DIY birthday card. She just find some childish stickers and stick on it... And found a red ribbon in her stash. The writing was mine! Black Nutella asked me to write it in reverse to make it fun... And boy! It was not easy!

It's like learning how to write alphabet all over again!

Me and the birthday gal - Karma Bitch! Luv ya!

Here she is, trying to figure out our birthday wishes... in reverse!

Note the red circle. That's her best friend. Can't live without it!

Karma Bitch, Black Nutella and myself.

HAPPEEE BURSTTDAYYY bitch!

Let's go berdansa anytime soon!

Our honeymoon package

Our honeymoon package is...

10 Days 7 Nights tour to EUROPE!!!

YAY!!

We finally got our dream honeymoon. We have always wanted to go to Europe for our honeymoon, and we have definitely set a budget for this. Scouting and hunting in the Matta Fair has turned out to be very fruitful.

The tour includes countries such as Vatican, Rome, Pisa, Venice,Germany, Amsterdam, Paris... Just to name a few. So excited just reading the itinerary! The Colosseum, Pisa Tower, Eiffel Tower, etc!! OMG!!! I get to go to these landmark and historical places, with the love of my life!

The travel agent that we booked with was Hong Thai Tours & Travel. All in for this tour (including tax and tipping) is about RM7.4K per person.

They were having promotion during the Matta Fair. It was a "Buy 1 Free 2" package. This means that for every Europe tour package that we buy, they will present us 2 packages FOC! Good deal huh?!

The 2 free packages that was given to us include hotel accommodation and ground tour to either 2 of these 3 places:
  1. Shanghai - 5D4N
  2. Chengdu - 5D4N
  3. Guilin - 4D3N
Only thing on our own expense is the air ticket. And the best thing is, these packages are transferable... Hmm thought of giving it to hubby's parents.

Our last stop is Paris. According to the tour, we will put a night in Paris, and fly back to KL. However, just one night in Paris?!?!? After all the distance?!

Hell no! LOL!

We plan to extend our stay there for about 2-3 nights, on our own expense. We'll venture the city of Paris on our own, and take our time to visit their museums and enjoy the lifestyle of the French.

And we checked out the prices of LV and Prada at their online website, and it is hella cheaper than here in KL!! I have to really save to buy the bags that I want when I'm in Paris!

To the romantic city of lights, here we come! Oct 2010 it is! Wait for us!

Matta Fair 2010

Today is the last day of Matta Fair, and we were there for almost 5 hours! Reason for this visit is to lock our HONEYMOON package!! Hehehe!

We drove there and arrived at 10am. The week before, we have already done our survey, visiting travel agents (efficient rite?!). Thus, we have already listed the countries we definitely wanna visit for our honeymoon.

Oh for those who haven't already know, we have selected to have our honeymoon in Europe! This is the only time that we both can take long holiday and would have the budget to go... so might as well be now, rite?!

As we were browsing and bargaining our packages, we came across these 2 mascots. Since it was still early and nobody was there, I took picture with them! It was promotion tours to Korea.

We have finally sealed our honeymoon deal!! Yay! Another item done... I realised that I have only 6 months to my wedding... and nothing seems to be done yet... sigh.

Will post up our honeymoon package soon... Now, am just f**cking tired and down with flu. I think a fever is coming... Sigh.

Hubby's Bird Nest

My hubby has promised to take care of me for the rest of his life - That is the oath he has taken. And he knows that my health don't exactly score an A. So, being a Chinese, he has always make me drink more soup and also herbal tea to strengthen my health.

One day before the CNY break begun, he told me that he has ordered 2 boxes of bird nest from his colleague who is going back to Sabah for CNY. Apparently, it is much cheaper there.

Upon returning from the break, true enough, his colleague brought back 2 boxes of bird nest! I was so touched that my hubby actually bought it for me. For a box like this, it was selling at RM200 in Sabah. The other day, I saw a supermarket in KL selling half of this quantity at RM250! What a huge difference!

I have drank bird nest before, but I have no idea on how to boil it. I mean, we don't even have a slow cooker at our home! What a joke rite?! But hubby had it all planned out. He went to his mum's and borrowed her slow cooker. The very next day, we went to a supermarket near our place to look for rock sugar and red dates, but, to our disappointment, only found rock sugar. Sigh...

But on that very same day, there is a night market going on. We thought we'd give it a try and we found red dates selling there! So we bought it and started boiling it!

His mum told us to start the process with hot boiling water. Before we throw in the bird nest into the slow cooker, we have already soak it in water for about 1.5 hours. We fill the slow cooker with hot water, bird nest, and the washed red dates.

After about 3 hours, we throw in the rock sugar. And after another 30 minutes, the bird nest is served.

Since I'm the only person drinking it, all the bird nest is for me! Yay all mine! Even though this is our first time using the slow cooker to cook the bird nest, it was a success! It tasted soooooo good! Red dates aroma was just nice too! Perfect!

Special thanks to my hubby for doing this for me!!!

Chap Goh Mei

Chap Goh Mei - The 15th day of the month - Which also signifies the end of the CNY month. Chap Goh Mei is also the Chinese version of Valentine's Day. For that day, we cooked our own dinner and the special for that night is a bottle of ice wine.

This is the first time hubby is trying ice wine. The first I have it is when Tze brought a bottle back for Ying Tzu's wedding. That was when I was introduced to ice wine. When hubby heard about it, he wants to try it as well... Thus we went scouting for it and finally found it in Mercato, Pavilion.

They were having promotion and the ice wine was selling at about RM60 instead of RM80. It came with 2 dessert wine glasses as well.

Hubby was just excited that the alcohol level is almost the same as red wine. The dessert wine tasted really good as well!

And yes, we will get another bottle.

Sigh... CNY is over... Back to reality now.

Hoi Gong Cau @ Ampang Waterfront

This is the final post on this year's CNY. After all the dinners/lunches at the closing year of the Ox, this is the first "hoi gong cau". Loosely translated "open business dinner" - A dinner to start your business.

Our own BYO - Must have for us. Hubby and I really like the big bottle.

Cute lil Torres Go dressed in bumble bee attire - Totally equipped with the wings.

Another kid that joined us for this dinner is Uli's niece - Miao Miao. Cute cute~~~

It was still CNY on the 26th March 2010. So, Yee Sang is one of the dishes served. And also my final Yee Sang for the year of the Tiger.

Dishes served for that night. For the amount we paid, it is definitely worth the price. Fish was especially fresh and tasty.

Going with the theme of CNY, the desserts were very special. It was Fried Lin Gou and Tong Yun (Glutinous Rice Ball). Yummy!

Now, the real "dessert"! Cheers to the drinkers for the night!

Drink!

And drink!

And drank!
Now, drunk! Demonstrating the way to vomit.

See the drunkenness. He lost his shoe!

I'm still sober hehehe!

Now, group picture time. Spot the different in this picture:

With this:

And this:

This is the first time hubby is carrying a baby. He has always been afraid to carry Torres as he's afraid he will hurt him. But that night, he did carried him. But the baby doesn't like him hehehe!

Finishing this post with this cute picture of Torres - A change of style. Check out the cool baby!
