The uncle I respect and love the most has passed away. Sigh. It's CNY - Time for happy times, not for mourning.
Uncle Billy was the most generous and kind person I know. He was the most non-political person in the family. I remember when I was little, he would pack my angpau at a higher amount for me. He has never scold me and is always smiling when he talks to me. My only regret is not able to spend more time with him before he left for heaven.
This is my cousin's dog, Sasha. The day we buried Uncle Billy, she refuses to eat anything at all. When we pushed her food in front of her, she pushed it away and hid her head under the staircase. Uncle Billy always bring her for a walk and she must have known that Uncle Billy is no more there to accompany her.
This song reminds me so much of my dear Uncle Billy. This is by Eric Clapton - Tears in Heaven.
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven
Will it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong, and carry on
Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven
Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven
I'll find my way, through night and day
Cause I know I just can't stay
Here in heaven
Time can bring you down
Time can bend your knee
Time can break your heart
Have you begging please
Begging please
Beyond the door
There's peace I'm sure.
And I know there'll be no more...
Tears in heaven
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven
Will it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong, and carry on
Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven
Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven
If I saw you in heaven
Will it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong, and carry on
Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven
Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven
Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven
I'll find my way, through night and day
Cause I know I just can't stay
Here in heaven
Time can bring you down
Time can bend your knee
Time can break your heart
Have you begging please
Begging please
Beyond the door
There's peace I'm sure.
And I know there'll be no more...
Tears in heaven
Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven
Will it be the same
If I saw you in heaven
I must be strong, and carry on
Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven
Cause I know I don't belong
Here in heaven
Uncle Billy, you will be missed and will forever be in my memory.
