My PrECioUSssSs

Shoes shoes shoes! The loves of my life!

I love shopping... And more loves for shoe-shopping! Can never ever EVER say no to buying shoes.

You know love at first sight? It happens to me ALL the time! The love for shoes!

For my wedding photoshoot, I went craaazzyyy with shoe-shopping. Normally, I won't spend more than RM80 for a pair of shoes. This is for daily shoes.

But for wedding, I have allocated higher budget! Tee-hee! No, I can't afford Jimmy Choo or Manolo Blahnik... But at least it is higher budget than usual. I'm glad already!

My selection of shoes is not your typical wedding shoes... As in those diamante and sparkle and lots of stones. I want something different... Something that has today's design, but would still be acceptable in the future.

So, here are my babies LOL!

This is from Lewre, which I got from Isetan, Lot 10. Actually hubby spotted this shoe first (his taste is not bad rite?). I will be using this for my tea ceremony. The special characteristic of this shoe is the key and lock on the strap.

Another shoe from Lewre, which I got it from Isetan, Lot 10 as well. Will be using this for my photoshoot. But it's black you say? I have a wedding gown that has black details, and this will go perfectly with my dress! Also, I plan to wear this again for my dinner reception. It is a classic black! Can never go wrong!

Shoe made in Italy, Fiorucci. So far, the most expensive shoe! This is not your typical wedding shoes. I will be using this shoe for my casual photoshoot in KL. I'll be wearing a short dress, so my shoes have to be striking and attention-grabbing. I love how this shoe looks so futuristic. Love the gorgeous blue against the white.

This is from Studio Tangs. I got it for 30% discount, and additional 20% discount! What a great deal! I love the height of this shoe, and it's white! Yet another shoe that is not typical, and I can use it again for work or dinners. This shoe is so flawless that I can sleep with it!

So anyhoo, since Tangs was having sale, I saw this cute lil shoe on the discount rack, and found my size! What luck! Tried it on, and it looked fab! Just the thing for work. It was 50% discount, and additional 40% discount. How can I resist?!

I do have another pair which I've used for my ROM. For the sake of showing my shoe collection (LOL), here is a picture of it. This is a picture from my photographer. Lovely red shoe from NYC that I got in Debenhams, Mid Valley. If I'm not mistaken, it was on 20% discount when I got it last year.

ROM shoes

Special thanks to hubby for being patient and his opinions during my shoe-shopping trips. He really has been patient enough for going through all these with me! Muaks!

"Black" to Basic

Yet another preparation for my photoshoot next week is to dye my hair. The last time I visited a saloon to trim and dye my hair was way back in Sept 2009. Since then, I don't have the time or money nor motivation to pay another visit to a saloon.

I hate the look of my black roots against the washed out ash brown color of my hair...

With the photoshoot session coming up, I was pondering between ash brown, dark brown or back to black?

Since this photoshoot photos will be kept and MAYBE my child will look at it in the future, I have to consider this point.

Will my kid go "Eww mum! What color is THAT?! What were you thinking then?"
Cos I won't know what to answer my kid then.

After much time thinking and annoying hubby, I've finally decided to go back to basic - BLACK!

Michelle in blue dress from Debenhams, Lot 10

This picture is taken right after I have my hair dyed. Picture was taken in a changing room with my 2.0 megapixel iPhone. So do forgive the bad quality picture.

And also do over look the fact that I have no makeup on... And also do not take into consideration on my first ever post on (minimal) cam-whoring. I know it is preeetty lame... But like I said, ignore that!

Focus on the black hair!

How much for this transformation?
It's only RM60!! WTH you say? Yup, it is only RM60 plus treatment! Woo-hoo! What a fantastic deal! Special thanks to mum's cousin for doing this for me. Her saloon is in Subang. Should go check her place out.

I love my new hair color!

Ps. I did not buy that blue dress. It's too big for me.

Super adorable baby Eunice

We paid a visit to baby Eunice, Pui Kuan and Jek Chee on Wednesday, a day after baby Eunice's date of birth. The hospital was all the way in Kota Damansara, and as usual, hubby passed the car key to me to drive since he's too lazy.

Here's welcoming cute lil baby Eunice Wong! Isn't she the most adorable thing you have seen?! Aww...

Baby Eunice Wong

The happy and proud parents with their newborn. As mentioned, this is a premature birth. According to Pui Kuan, her water broke while she was at home cos she was given MC on that day. When her water broke, she called Jek Chee and he rushed home to send her to a hospital.

The gynecologist that Pui Kuan goes to is stationed in Kelana Jaya Medical Centre. By right, she would have given birth there but according to her gynecologist, the equipment and facilities in Tropicana Medical Centre is more advanced and more well-suited to accommodate her current situation. So they made the switch.

L-R: Eunice, Pui Kuan, Jek Chee

Since it was a premature birth, it will have to be a Cesarean instead of a natural birth. For this operation, only the bottom half of Pui Kuan was given anaesthetic. She can still witness the whole procedure and watch her baby enters our world.

Mama Pui Kuan

Pui Kuan said that when the doctor has safely delivered Eunice, he held her up but the baby was white! She was horrified and actually cried that very instant!

I tell you - Never doubt a mother's unconditional love to her child. She has been carrying her lil love of her life for almost 8 months, and to see her baby in front of her in white! Can you imagine the horror she went through at that very second?!

But luckily, the doctor shook the baby and color began to come back to the little girl. All was OK. Mum and dad was relieved to see their baby girl crying.

Baby Eunice with aunties

Weighing at a mere 2.01kg, the baby had to stay in the ICU for a night. Being a brave girl, she was discharged from the ICU and join her mum the very next day.

Baby Eunice and uncles

Babies are miracle of life. A new life enters our world and grows up with us - Firstly in a mother's belly, and later join us in our world.

It is definitely something to marvel upon.

OK. I'm gonna go emo myself now. This is a very touching story.

36-24-36

The ideal body measurement for a female: 36-24-36

Who actually determines and draws this figure? If every woman has this measurement, can you imagine how voluptuous every woman will be? How attractive the street will be? It's like watching fashion show live on the streets!

Evening gown in Eyeshot

But then again, everyone is special, and so is their own body measurement.

Well, mine is definitely nowhere near that figure LOL! Far from it actually.
36 --> I need few more inches to add to my number
24 --> I need a few inches taken off from my waist
36 --> Hah! This is the only one I can say I have the nearest number to. Not that number, but ClOse... Hahaha!

Anyhoo, 2 weeks ago, I went to Eyeshot for wedding gown trial and have selected 4 wedding gowns. I thought that was it and that will be my body shape until my photoshoot (PS) next week.

Imagine my surprise when Zoe (the lady owner) told me that I have to be back next week to take my body measurement to alter the dresses.

Then I begin to scratch my head. If I have to be back tomorrow, why didn't I select my gown tomorrow instead of choosing it 2 weeks ago? Like mentioned earlier, we don't need to book the gowns earlier cos there's only 1 main photographer with 1 backup photographer.

Hmm I have no idea, but at last it gave me another 2 weeks to TRY to lose weight... But I failed LOL! No thanks to the Malacca trip!

Decoration in Eyeshot 02

Since I will be back tomorrow, I have a few questions ready for Zoe, which are:
What flowers will they provide me with?
What hairstyles will be given, and can I try the hairstyle first before deciding which to wear?
The fake eyelashes - I don't want it to look to plastic-y, yet must be obvious. Which brand should I get?

So many questions... I want to get it settle tomorrow, once and for all.

Welcoming baby Eunice!

As I'm typing this, Pui Kuan is in the hospital with her newborn, Eunice Wong. She has delivered a healthy baby girl at around 6.15pm, 13th April 2010. She gave birth to a healthy lil baby girl in Tropicana Hospital, Kota Damansara.

L-R: Mummy Pui Kuan, Uli, Hui Peng, Michelle

Just a couple of months ago we attended their wedding. Man, time flies! Months passed and we watch her stomach got bigger, and now, a newborn has enter our world!

Actually, her baby is due end of May, but when I received the news that her water broke and has been rushed to the hospital. I was sooooo worried about her.

Luckily, her husband sent us a text about an hour later and said that she has given birth to a healthy baby girl. Phew! That was a real relief!

Hubby was asking why am I so excited when it's not my baby?! LOL! That's not the point! He said we can have our own baby now and can be excited ourselves too.
My response: Dreaming lar you!

We will pay them all a visit tomorrow after work... Can't wait to see baby Eunice!

CONGRATS to Jek Chee, Pui Kuan and Eunice!

Whole new look

I got sick and tired with the limited template offered by blogger, so I've decided to venture out and look for fresh, new look for my blog.

AND ended up getting fucking frustrated with the templates and layouts and HTMLs and all these tech-y stuff.

I actually spent 2 freaking hours trying to figure out how the hell all these functions and trying to get rid of some widgets and trying to add new templates. Even my hubby got annoyed with my frustration and told me to shut the whole blog down!! Hmm temper temper temper!

So obviously with all these trials and errors encountered, things got screw up and shit got lost.

Basically, my blog is UNDER CONSTRUCTION.

Now I know why I see this term in so many websites. I guess I'm not the only one that would give up on complicated stuff.

Sigh... Tiring and a waste of time. I need my beauty sleep now.

Cuti-cuti Malaysia - Malacca

Yes, it is yet another round of Cuti-cuti Malaysia with hubby and his friends. This holiday was planned during CNY this year. We need 1.5 months heads up cos most of them are very busy people. This is the only date that all of them could make it.

I've always thought that the journey to Malacca is 2 hours, at the very least. But it took us only an hour to get to Malacca. LOL don't ask me how fast was hubby driving at... It was preeetttyyy fast! I had to hang on to my seat belt at times!

Now, hubby is asleep cos he's really drained out from the trip... I guess he is an uncle now LOL!

Pictures and memories coming up next!
For now, I am looking at the pictures taken and reminiscing this trip. Yet another fond memory to add to my list~~~
