Recommended Taiwanese restaurant!

This is a recommended restaurant. If you are looking for Chinese food but bored with the typical Malaysian Chinese cuisine, do try the Taiwanese Chinese food. And if you do try it, do go to the Xian Ding Wei Taiwanese Tea Room in Sunway Pyramid.

We were deciding to go for this or the pasta restaurant, but we are glad that we try this place instead. I saw the picture of the Chicken 3 Variety, I couldn't resist it! Since it was our lunch, I've decided to get the set for this, which costs RM18.90. This is absolutely divine! Being a fan of anything with black sauce, I fell in love with this dish, literally. The 3 variety includes sweet, sour and salty! A great mixture! This is the dish that I really felt like having a second serving!

...And this soup. This soup is utterly flavorful! We were surprise that this soup given FOC can actually taste so good!

Additional main course top up is this Sweet & Sour Pork (RM13.90). Having this dish and chewing the pork is pleasantly delightful. It was not overly sweet, and also has the sour taste from the tomato paste. So mouthwatering!

For the rice, we were given a choice of of plain white rice or the Braised Pork Rice, which was our pick. Although the braised pork looks quite fatty, take it away, the sauce against the white rice was just perfect! Even myself on a diet couldn't resist it and push in the carbs into my overweight body LOL!

One thing that I wouldn't recommend is this Yam Cake (RM7.90). There is no taste at all. Such a waste to order this.

For the beverages, I ordered the Dragon Fruit Juice (RM5.90). They added lemon in it as well and made this drink so blissful. It cured my thirst right away!

This drink by Vincent is recommended by the staff - Calamansi (RM6.90). Not really our cup of tea, but it is not too bad.

We undeniably like this place! We will come for a second visit soon. The only turn-off is the distance.

Restaurant De Maw

Near our place, there is another condominium named D'Alamanda. Around that area, there is a row of old shop houses of restaurants. These are really old restaurants, and is always full. Thus, we must give this place a try!

Our of so many restaurants there, we finally selected this cute lil looking cottage called Restaurant De Maw.

Just by looking outside, you can guess that the place is quite small and tables are limited. We were there on Friday at 7pm, and it was already full house. The owner even honestly told us that we will have to wait quite awhile before getting our food. Since we weren't in a hurry, we decided to wait.
Very unique design the restaurant has. All these lanterns has all 12 animals in the Chinese calendar written on it.

And apparently, the restaurant's chef has won award before.

Their variety is limited. These are the only dishes offered by the restaurant, but everything listed looks delicious.

Braised peanuts as appetizer. Since we have been given the warning that it will be a long wait, this peanut dish acts as really came just in time.

Hot Sizzling - Fried Venison Meat (RM18.00). The slices of venison was just thin enough, and surprisingly, the slices of meat were bigger than usual. It has a very chrateristic chili and sour taste... To me, it tasted like those authentic Sze Chuan village food.

Brinjal with Salted Fish in Clay Pot (RM12.00). Normally, brinjal dishes are very oily, but for this, it is just nice. The salted fish taste is very distinctive but was just nice enough to blend in with the brinjal taste.

This is the soup that was on the house. Such generosity!

We actually wanted to order another dish, but the person taking the order honestly told us that we will not be able to finish the food, and told us to just stick to 2. Even if we asked them to serve us a smaller portion, they refuse. I still can't believe there are still honest business people around hahaha! Maybe I'm just a typical cynic!

Highly anticipated event - Wedding gown trial is tomorrow!

It is finally my wedding gown trial for my wedding photo shoot tomorrow! Gosh! This kinda feel surreal! Going to the bridal studio (BS) tomorrow kinda officially awaken my senses the "I'm-finally-getting-married" chapter - for this year, at least.

The appointment is at 3pm tomorrow. 3 of my girlfriends will be helping me on the selection of the bridal gowns. I know most brides advise to go for gown trial as early as possible, but for this BS, they have only 1 photographer (PG). So there is absolutely no reason for me to panic and act like a kiasu in this matter.

Question here is, what gown am I expecting, and which should I get that best fit my body shape?

Gowns are categorized in massive number of categories! Endless. Anyhow, I have been looking at wedding gowns, and really love these.

Neckline:
a) Off-shoulder - So chic yet classic

b) Square - Gives a very classic Victorian-elegant look.

c) Sweetheart - Gives the enough emphasis on the chest area

Silhouette:
a) Trumpet/Mermaid - I lurve the way these dresses accentuate the womanly curve.

b) Princess - A classic design

c) Ball gown - Very princess-y feeling. This is prolly the only time in my life I can feel like this.

d) Front slit - Sexayy!

Embellishment:
a) Ruffles - Look at how it instantly adds a heighten definition of enchantment!

Fabric:
a) Lace lace lace! It creates the dreamy-romantic look.

b) Tulle. One word - G-L-A-M-O-R-O-U-S!

Hemline:
a) Knee-length - Most gowns are long. I would wanna have one that is short.

Train:
a) Fishtail - Nice flare at the back

b) Semi-cathedral - Just enough to have a train and be comfortable

Color:
a) There must be a little bit of black. Lovvee the contrast between white and black;

b) And also cream and black.

I can only hope I will look good, if not stunning (perasan wei) in my gowns. It's once in a lifetime anyways!

Happy April Fools' Day!

Yup... Today is the day to trick anyone on anything, and no grudges should be held against you! It is April Fools' Day!

To think that I have gone past the days to be tricked, and people in the working environment would be too bored and lazy to play this, but I was wrong. I got tricked today! A nasty one!

Queen of Jeebra called Rock Chic's extension but I answered it. Jeebra told me that she has been admitted to the hospital for operation. I was shocked and worried sick! I have not heard anything about no operation and kept asking her how did the operation went. She played along and gave me stories, and then just when I was asking her how's he wound, she kept quiet and said "April FOOL!"

Dammit!! I fell for another April Fools' trick! Feeling very discontent, I suggested her to play the same trick on Shy Flirt, and she fell for it too! LOL! I felt so much better... At least I don't feel like a fool! Shy Flirt then asked Jeebra to trick Nutella with the same trick, and yet again, he fell for the same trick as us!

What a joke! All 3 of us fell for the same joke!

Anyways, I still love you Jeebra, although I was shouting "I hate you" over and over again!

So anyways, I'm leaving with a picture of my DIY nail art. I have always like to decorate my nail but it's just difficult since I have to do house work. I like sticking stones on my nails but it always fall off due to me doing house work... Sigh.

I got the white nail polish from Etude House, and the red nail polish has always been in my collection. Ain't it pretty?! Hehehe!
